U R Actors is a not-for-profit Youth Theatre Group for 8 to 18 year olds led by CRB Checked Voluntary Leaders. Our aim is to help young people embrace the world of Performing Arts in a safe and friendly environment. All members have the opportunity to learn Acting, Singing and Dancing, and just as importantly - teamwork. We take pride in seeing children develop over time with us and become more self-confident, more self-disciplined, all whilst having fun and making new friends.

   We are linked to the Wellingborough High Street United Reformed Church and take part in services 2 or 3 times per year. Members do not have to have religious beliefs of any kind, and whilst members are invited to join us in taking part in a Church Service now and again, they are free to make their own un-pressured choice. We are very grateful to the United Reformed Church for the use of Salem Hall for our weekly rehearsals and our performances.

   We visit sheltered housing from time to time and perform to the residents - we have always been very warmly recieved and invited back time and time again.

   U R Actors presents a "Full Musical" once a year and also hosts concerts, open evenings and family events throughout the year. We have been fortunate enough to hold workshops in the past such as Circus Skills - ran by a professional circus artist.

   At U R Actors we strive to challenge members individually in their performances, allowing them to progress at a speed which is comfortable to them. Whilst members perform as a "Company" we believe it is important that each individual is encouraged to work on their weaknesses and enhance their strengths. We currently have a diverse range of experience within the group; some members have never performed before, whilst others have taken part in many shows, both with us and with other groups - youth theatre groups and adult groups.

   We have an "open door" policy whereby Parents and Guardians are free to watch any rehearsal and see how we work with their child. All leaders are CRB Checked at Enhanced Level and undergo routine refresher training in the latest Child Protection Policies.
